FAVOURITE BOOKS FOR DOG TRAINING
We love Pat Miller and we can’t say enough good things about her book. Filled with lots of practical solutions and how-tos using positive based methods. This book is on many top ten lists and Pat Miller is well respected in the dog training community.
Recommended by veterinary behaviorists and trainers alike. This is not a how-to book, but a why-to book. Not just for dogs, this excellent book discusses postive techniques and gives a number of different approaches to problem solving. Inspiring book and excellent for those starting out. It is also a great book for those in the family who may not be convinced that positive reinforcement training is the best method to use.
The Other End of the Leash: Why We Do What We Do Around Dogs
This is a wonderful read that has as much empathy for the human as the dog. It allows us to examine ourselves and our mistakes not only without being made to feel like we need to defend ourselves, but in a way that we can feel encouraged to handle our dogs more effectively.

These videos are a must for anyone working with aggressive dogs. These videos demonstrate a great number of behaviors and educates you on what it might mean.
